1. About Lumen

Lumen is a cloud-based personal media storage and streaming platform. We provide users with the ability to upload, store, transcode, and stream their own personal media files. Lumen does not provide, curate, or distribute any content. All content on Lumen is uploaded solely by its users.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumen. By using Lumen, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Lumen will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized access to your account. You must notify us immediately at support@help.lumenstream.tv if you suspect unauthorized use.

You may not create accounts using automated means or create accounts under false pretenses.

4. User Content

4.1 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all content you upload to Lumen. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the legal right to upload and store the content.
• Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
• Your content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Your content does not contain malware, viruses, or harmful code.

4.2 What We Do Not Allow

You may not upload content that:

• Infringes any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right.
• Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploits minors in any way.
• Contains illegal content of any kind.
• Is used to harass, threaten, or harm others.

4.3 Our Rights

Lumen does not claim ownership of your content. However, by uploading content you grant Lumen a limited license to store, transcode, and deliver your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms at any time without notice.

5. Storage and Plans

5.1 Free Tier

Free accounts include 50GB of storage and are supported by advertising. Free accounts may stream on one device at a time.

5.2 Paid Plans

Paid plans offer additional storage, ad-free streaming, and additional features as described on our pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically unless cancelled.

5.3 Storage Limits

You may not exceed the storage limit associated with your plan. If you exceed your limit, you may be required to upgrade or remove content.

5.4 Deduplication

Lumen may use file deduplication technology to optimize storage. This does not affect your ownership or access to your content.

6. Payments and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. All prices are in USD. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

7. DMCA and Copyright

Lumen complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, please refer to our DMCA Policy.

Users who repeatedly upload infringing content will have their accounts terminated.

8. Termination

Lumen reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, repeated copyright infringement, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your content may be deleted and your access to the service will be revoked.

9. Disclaimers

Lumen is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose of our service. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or service interruptions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the applicable jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of Lumen after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
